Does anyone know how to disable this so that it logs straight into the soleaccount on the PC?

If so, please share :D I would really like to know how to remove this

I believe it is in User Accounts in Control Panel. Something like, 'change the way users log on and off'.

Yes, disable the welcome screen. Though if someone turns on your comp they can automatically get into your files and whatnot, and if you get a virus or alot alot of spyware and can't get it off youre screwed.

There is nothing in there to disable it.

That's okay man I don't mind, and I keep my system clean and reformat if anything f**ks up.

Alright well I'll do this step by step:
Start > Control Panel > User Accounts > Change way users log on and off.

if u have netframework installed u cant remove the welcome screen

yes you can.. go to windows download homepage and go to the powertoys section and download the tweak UI. Under login settings there is a auto log-in option even if you have a password (just enter it and click remember). I however don't use it because I don't enjoy nosy people on my computer. :)

Thanks for the help!

I'll give that a try :D

Umm, no, its not the "change the way users log on/off".
This changes from the current, xp looking logon screen, to the classic, little window where you type in your name/password.

If you have home edition, i think the only way is if you have 1 account, and there is no password on it, then it just goes boom!

Logged in. : p

Other wise try that download if you have more than one user.

Start > Run > control userpasswords2

Uncheck "Users must enter name and password to logon"

Here’s a tip, give your account a password. It'll ask you which account you want to use and its password when you press OK. If you don't use a password it stops Scheduled Tasks from working. Some kind of security thing, you can only use Scheduled Tasks on accounts with passwords.

I've downloaded the PowerToys now but will give this a try. Thanks for the suggestion
