Resolutions settings, 1280x1024 (LCD)??

I only got to play for like 10 minutes before work this morning, but I messed with the video options and the only 1280x1024 resolution listed has a LCD out beside it. Wtf is this for exactly? I set mine to that (I have a 19" crt) and it seemed to work fine walking around the train station. I'm just wondering why exactly it said LCD beside it, I guess...

well because 17" and 19" LCDs are 1280x1024, and hence 5:4 instead of 4:3. I think it probably modifies the aspect ratio a little bit to fit.

It just caught me off guard, I run every game in 1280x1024 except Doom3 and I've yet to see a game mention LCD out beside it. Guess I'll run HL2 in 1024x768 or something to preserve the aspect.
