RE: Best Res

Hi Munro,

If you can make it look great in 1024x768 and yet its funky testicles in 800x600 you've hit the sweetspot for web design.

1024x768 seems to be the new 'standard' but from the I see from some disgusting spider code I use in webpages we have (it grabs screen size), 800x600 is the minimum to go for.

BTW lovely design (graphically) of the site, but also in layout, its clean, functional. Anything more complicated wouldn't be so attractive.

Browsers I code for:

Netscape >4.7
Mozilla >6
IE most versions >4
Opera (mostly covered by two above, wierd but opera seems to be a strange hybrid)
lynx (lets not forget people less fortunate than ourselves - the W3C recommendations for accesibility are _easy_ to implement, but mean screen reader and braille browsers are not second rate citizens.)

Big kiss for a site I regularly browse,

Milky Milky
I use 1280x960 and I think the site/forum looks great.

Oh and this is in the wrong forum .. moderator! Oh wait .. :)
I have my resolution set to 1600x1200 but I voted or 1024 x 768 beause it is the best resolution for the website IMO
I feel sorry for that guy who's running under 800x600 - Someone buy him a new monitor!

Forget the res, try updating at least once a month.
Oops, I voted 1280x768, but I have my screen at 1024x768 (so I was going to vote that).
I used to be a 1280x1024 person, but my monitor hertz hurts (lol?) my eyes at that res so I use 1024x768.
