Now I know i heard the answer somewhere maybe not here and they search didnt help so dnt flame me if its been anwsered already.

Now is it true if I buy the standard or CE retail I can upgrade to gold package or whatever i want?

i think they said if you buy retail there is no plan to allow you to upgrade. That was only for the people who had ATi vouchers and wanted to upgrade (i think)

But you will be able to buy anything you get in the Gold package seperately.

Except for the chance to go to Valve.

meh I hope your wrong cuz i want all the goodies in gold package but I also want the cd and the t-shirt >_< so anyone else can confirm if its true or not?

Is that confirmed that you can buy merchandise seperately? cuz i emailed someone from steam and they said they are not sure if they will happen.
