Hi
Sorry about being banal to the extreme, but I recently found Half Life Ricochet, an expansion pack to HL1
I am not a n00b and usually refrain from asking such absurd questions, but what the hell was Rocochet about?
My computer and Windows are way too new for Ricochet anyway, and it crashed too many times for me to complete it.
Can somebody please enlighten me in brief sentences what Ricochet is about and whether it has any signifance? Please do not abstain from spoilers and thanks

Ricochet is a not-played multiplayer add-on to Half-Life, that has no recemblance to the Half-Life story whatsoever, apart from the player models using HEV-suit-like suits.

During the period between Half-Life and Half-Life 2, the G-man contracted Gordon out to ENCOM corporation, where an AI called the Master Control Program had gone rogue and planned to take over the Pentagon's defense systems.

Gordon was sent in to take care of it, being digitized and sent into the computer world where he did battle with the MCP's agents in a series of "games," one of which involved hurling glowing discs at his opponents in an attempt to knock them off their platforms. That was the premise behind Ricochet.

You're kidding. Ricochet had a story!

(I am kidding. That's the Tron story. ;) Richochet was heavily inspired by the movie.)

Expansion to be completely correct :frog:
Are you sure? *wikis*

Ricochet is a multiplayer mod of the popular first-person shooter Half-Life. It was developed by Valve Software and originally released on November 1, 2000.The 1.1.1.0 patch of the game on was later released on June 12, 2002. It is an official mod, and is available through Steam for purchase; however, it is free for those who purchased the retail version of Half-Life prior to the release of Steam.

That would make Blue Shift a mod as well, as all the changes to the engine are "moddable".

Get it? Get it? D:

Ricochet scoure? Nobody would want it.

To contrary, I noticed you could saw off other players heads on ricochet :D

Rocochet is worth playing at least once, I've had fun playing it with some friends.
