I didn't wanna mess up the "leet!" thread so I started this one.

Rome: TW is a game I don't like because it's easy. Too easy.

BTW lucid, the battle in B&W2 may be easy but the rest of the game is hard.

I saw nothing hard about B&W2...
The only thing that sometimes got me were the annoying physics bugs... such as...
Throwing a boulder to kill some soldiers, only to have it spaz and fling itself in a completely different direction...
Or the retarded creature that couldn't jump off a small cliff.

The game was way too easy and way too short... Hell, about 85% of the game was a god damn tutorial.
But it was a fun romp... nice graphics... good voice acting.
It was certainly in no way a battle simulator, the fights could've been executed so much better...
Formations, better animations, a click and drag selection system... the list goes on.

Rome Total War, is superior in terms of combat.
It was challenging. You can't just select all of your units and rush the enemy... Sure it COULD work for one battle... but by then most of your men would be dead.

Please explain why you felt the game was too easy.

Well, tbh I only killed about 7 or 8 town before I called it quits BECAUSE it was easy, and repetitive, I just didn't want to spend all my time doing the exact same thing over and over and over....

Does it get any different (Besides the size of your armies) after the first 7 towns you destroy?

Because if you can tell me 10 good things that are different after the first 7 towns, I will give it another go. My opinion might change..

AoE3 looks cool, but I wish you could start from the dark ages like in #'s 1 and 2 I liked having to advance myself and do the work rather than in #3 just start in colonial ages, it would be cool if they remade #1.

I AM NOT FLAMING THE GAME, I'M JUST SAYING I LIKE #1 and #2 BETTER, AoE3 STILL LOOKS FUN..

I'm not starting another arguement about a game.

AoE 2 was pretty badass, even though Warcraft 2 wtf pwns them all combined. Senseless slaughter with blood lusted ogres makes Sam happy.

Is Civilization IV better, or yet fun compared to AoE 3? I'v never played any of Civilization games before.

I'm planning to buy either one.

Starcraft taught me to build alot of barracks' to have alot of marines early.

Rome Total War was definately really easy as Carthage with War Elephants. But, that's also when it becomes awesome.

Download the Rome - Total Realism mod and play it on Hard as the Selucids. It is very very tough.

Wow, you're a dumbass. And Starcraft will always be the best RTS game evar. Unless Starcraft 2 comes out... :O

The strategic part of Rome is a bit boring yes but I like the RTS part alot, just put it on hardest level and you will get trouble

There is one thing that hasn't been mentioned. Rome wasn't built in one day, right? Well, RTW takes way more than just one day to properly play. You have to take your time for the campaign, I think. Just doing the RTS battles and neglecting the TBS part is a waste of a brilliant game.
