Rushed or not

Do you feel that the multiplayer aspect, now being touted, was added because of the complaints and reviews, or do you think it was added because the game was not completely finished before it left Valve. By finished, I mean all aspects, MP and SP. We all know the SP was finished.

I think after the community and reviewer response about the lack of multiplayer besides CS:S Valve was like, "Oh man, we're big dumbheads!" and got to working on DM as fast as their little fingers could type.

i think they have been working on MP for a while, so it won't seem rushed. there could be plenty of creative maps, maybe some more features than just hl2dm, ya know? ctf? vehicles?!!

but don't get your hopes up, it could just be the SDK, the base HL2dm, and one map...then valve will say, "community, here's your DM, but you have to make your own maps..."

i think they deliberately did not make HL2 DM just to be different and look even more revolutionary. they obviously overdid that.

Do you feel it would be kind of a cop-out, to just hand the SDK to the community, and say: "Here's your deathmatch!" or put some stuff out there for us less MOD maker inclined?

Are people just so happy to have DM, that they don't care about the reasons for DM not being included in-box? Or did VALVe just want HL2 out the door, to quell the consumers growing unease and just, finish it on the fly?

It was there the whole time.... hl2dm always existed and I am sure the patch will simply unlock it.

I dont know about you guys but im really more excited about mod makers finally getting the full SDK, soon ill be in mod heaven!

HL2DM should be fun tho.
