Secret cargo on the Borealis

Anyone got any ideas for what could be on the Aperture Science vessel Borealis, and why Eli Vance so desperately urges Freeman to get rid of it?

Signs point to it being local teleportation technology, like Mossman talks about in Half-Life 2. (I.E. the portal gun. Or the teleporter in Kleiner and Eli's lab.)

The consequences of using the device will be a big story arc beyond episode three, from local anomalies, advisor in-house fighting, the introduction of another universe, the decreasing power of GMan

I'm not sure Eli knew himself, but seeing as it was able to teleport itself and some of its dock to the Arctic with no one being able to trace it I imagine its some kind of experimental Aperture teleportation technology. Possibly different to the technology used in the Portal gun or any of the other large teleporters we've seen so far.
