just two things. at the bit where his hand comes out is the inside of the arm on his clothes is that have its own face or is it the back of the outside? finding it hard to get htat into words. also whats that huge thing round his arm? im thinking it will cause problems when you come to animating but maybe it not
crackhead - If I understand you correctly, its just the back faces of the outside, I heard from someone that you could make it a 2sided material when you compile it so it saved some faces doing that. The thing around his arm is his magical pelt...thing, the animating is a concern to me also, I'm wondering how thats gonna look hehe (not an animator though, so I can't be sure).
RipperRoo - He lost his left arm early in the anime, so I left it out, it is just going to be cloth dragging beside him.
mindless_moder - I was going for the anime'ish look, though I think I'm gonna try adding some subtle textures to some things (the kimono, belt, metal) to see how it looks.
he looks like a cartoon....but you said thats what you want right? i mean if you made it more realistic it might not look right....so the style you used to model the character is good. the texturing aligns itself with the modeling....in the sense that its cartoony. i like it. good luck animating it though.
Ya I'm wondering how its gonna be animated too hehe, but we don't have an animator as of yet, so that problem will come in time I suppose. I dunno, I'm wondering how the deformation will look with the fur (the main problem to animating as I see it).
yeh u got me ive never heard of adding two sided faces on compiling but if u can wont that do it to the whole model? and if so once you have compiled it those faces wont have a texture? so it will be the exact same problem? lol but anyway its a great model the texture looks fine but your right some subtle detail will look good like a few tones away from the colour the cloth is to define it a bit more would look good.
