Severe Sound Problems in CS:S

Okay, when I play CS:S, my sounds are extremely messed up, and some squeak at the end. I have never experienced this problem before. I did however, recently uninstall the PAF Splash Pack, which changes sounds. May this have something to do with it? My sound card is a Sound Blaster Audigy 1. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks!
