Silent Hill Storyline Revealed!!!

Sounds kind of like Silent Hill. You're driving through and it's all foggy and you see a little girl in the road and you swerve to dodge and hit a pole. Then your little girl runs away. Atleast that's what I remember, I haven't played SH in forever lol. But it's the little girl that's the same.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

I simply cannot wait for the silent hill movie!! Knowing that I've read the story for it..it sounds like the first one...oh please let there be a school in it! AWESOME!! I really hope it freaks me out because the first one did..and I loved every second of it.

Great find!

EDIT: Oh ya...I will be uterly PISSED if the movie is not scary...anyway...ya.

I read somewhere that everyone sees different things in Silent Hill. Like it all depends on the state of the person's mind and that's what determines what they see. That's why children are able to wonder around unharmed because of their innocent mind set but someone with a totured mind is put through a great deal of agony.

dont sound bad but lets hope it hav the same style of all the "horror" movies are coming now

for example having real creepy monsters

Is this one also done by Spag Bol? ... if it is, i wont be a happy bunny. :|

I'm a huge fan of the Silent Hill series, I have all the games and have read all the book/comics. All you can pretty much do when it comes to video games being made into movies is hope for the best. If the movie sucks don't acknowledge it's existance.

I loved the SH series so much that I literally tranformed my bedroom door into a rusty, grunged metal plate :P Hell, this sounds real fun but doesnt it kinda give away too much? :O

It's much more like the first one's story, sounds good so far!

I need to get a pack of all 4 parts. For pc that is. Anyone know if there is such a thing? All i can find is 3-4

this could somehow destroy or change my view of Silent Hill. the games are unique and totally the most exiting game experience ive ever experienced. My fav was defenently Silent Hill 3 with a female character :D
The forth game was terrible :(

No disagreement on that  The fourth was very disappointing to my surprise. :borg:

I know they sell 3 and 4 for cheap when it's on PC, infact the day Silent Hill 4 came out it was $50 for the PS2 and only $30 for the PC. Anyways, either check for on-line retailers that sell older and newer games or check eBay or something.

Like I said before, if the movie sucks don't acknowledge it's existance. Just act like it never happened and send the memories of it to the Silent Hill inside your head so they will meet their own demise.

I'm just starting to notice more and more people are starting to get into this game. Back when I played Silent Hill no one had played it, let alone heard of it. Around Silent Hill 2 only a few people I know had heard of it but never played it. Since then I've found that no one had really played it at all. The few who have either didn't like it or did. Recently though there has been a surge in it's popularity it seems. More people are starting to talk about it and more people are playing. Glad to see the series is starting to get more recognition.

As for the movie those who have never heard of the game series or played it will probably base the games off of the movie. Stuff like Resident Evil, which I really really didn't like, usually turns people off to the games because they think they're as crappy as the movie. Hopefully the director can pull this off good and people will say, "Hey this game has a pretty kick ass concept and looks cool, maybe I should play it."

I remember when SH was first coming out and I got a demo for it. One hell of a scary game...

The only one i have played and beat is the one with pyramid head. It rocked was very freaky and fun.

Just had a read and it sounds like it could be a really creepy/good film.

Never played the game, how faithful is it?

All the games are different. The town is the only thing that stays the same.

It's kind of similar storyline to the first game, where you're Harry Mason and you're looking for your daughter, who's run off into Silent Hill after a car crash. but the fatal disease stuff, making a "deal" with the demon little girl (who IS in the first game, just not in this way) weren't in the game. I'm really dissapointed that they didn't do the second game's storyline, which was ten times better IMO, and which I honestly thought was much better as movie material.

[EDIT]: For those who don't have them, I've decided to upload the (unofficial) plot guides to the first two games. They're fantastic reads, and really flesh out the Silent Hill universe. :)

Ahh right, okie, well it still sounds interesting, and you never know, they might be saving the second one for another movie or maybe a mini-series or something, depending how the first one fairs financially.

I really hope there will be an Silent Hill 5 someday, that is not like the forth :/

Im currently writing a story with another guy that is inspired by Silent Hill, hope it'll be good :D

I dunno I always thought that Silent Hill 2 would make a better basis for a film.

After all it tackles some hard subjects.

Well, the problem is that the first Silent Hill was a horror while Silent Hill 2 was more of a psychological thriller. The story for SH2 was also less complex than that of the first. Although both can be confusing, as the stories leave you with only enough information to figure out what is happening (which is good). SH2 was more about relationships between people and SH1 put empahsis on the origin and atmosphere of the town. Silent Hill 2 would make a better movie; especially if the movie industry plans to make a sequel based on the popularity of the first movie.

You're looking at it from the perspective of someone who is familiar with the game and the story behind it. You msut realise that the vast majority of people going to see it won't even know it's based of a video game. If they were to skip how that happened to the town, which I hope they don't, then that'll be one of the biggest questions from people who've seen it and aren't familiar with the game. I say introduce how it happened in the first to get the ball rolling then move onto a story line similiar to the second for a sequal.

you can easily fit in explanations of what happened (like at the Silent Hill Historical Soceity, or whatever it is before te prison bit), but the great thing about Silent Hill was that you never really got a clear picture of what happened. When making Silent Hill 2 they relaised this, and kept things more of a mystery, focusing more on the relationships between the characters trying to figure their own problems out.
