Single Player ?

I'm getting DoD: Source next week
(actually I already bought it, but there was no CD key in my case >: (

Anyways, In the steam description it says that DoD: S "features new missions and game modes".
Does this mean that DoD: Source also has single player missions ?
Cause I'd love to play some single player DoD: S missions, but all I ever read about is the multiplayer.
Or does "missions" refer to objectives you complete in multiplayer games ?
Also, can you play DoD: S offline with bots (like CS) ?

No single player....new missions and game modes basically refer to the new Detonation style gameplay. DoD isnt meant to be single player, and probably wouldnt be very good.....and would take away from the other stuff...IE Ep 2

Is it sort of like CS, cause the detonation vid I've seen on Steam looks a LOT like CS (only way more intense).
How many players usually play simultaneously?

Better graphics than CS, servers are usually 12-64, gameplay is your typical WW2 shooter but with great models and ragdoll physics, weapons are pretty good.....game types are basically capping flags or detonation....theres more than 4 maps....off the top of my head there is jagd, colmar, donner, flash, avalanche, and a few others. Just download a few movies to get a feel.

yes if you remember i asked if dod source had bots in another thread. but i ended up being totally addicted to the multiplayer. i still suck at it but have a great time doing it.

I have it and while I enjoy it from time to time, the lack of bot support is a real pain

I think they also should've done that with HL² Deathmatch.
I like the occasional online match, but it's nice to play a bit more relaxed offline with bots of your own skill level

And there are a lot of maps if you include custom ones. Seriously, you could play a new map every week of the month for about a year.

They should do it like the BF series where you can play against bots or real people, but not both at once. It's a horrible feeling to be on a server and have an 80:2 ratio and think "Wow, I am the greatest!" then check the scoreboard to see that everyone has a ping of zero except for you and the guy on your team who hasn't moved in 20 minutes.
