Destroy the Citadel's reactor core.

Anyone know how to do this?
I tried combine consoles and monitors, soldiers and energy balls...

ZOMG N00b!!1!!

Aim at the central portion of the spire, where Breen's Energy Orb is ascending...Shoot the Dark Fusion Reactor in the middle until metal doors appear to shield it. Shoot off the shield, then time more orbs shots so they pass through the gap you in the "shield".
Keep this up until the reactor is destroyed.

Energy ball the core until the guard things come off. Then keep firing energy balls into the core.

wait what? the achievement is to destroy the reactor in ep1 which you cant possibly do?

No it isn't. I refer to my Prima Guide for orange box and that is under HL2 achvs.
There is no way to destroy core in EP1 sadly

Yeah, you turn into an Orange Hulk. With a Lambda sign on your chest and huge glasses.
