Hi, I am trying to decompile a hl2 model and import it into max. since cannonfodder's .smd export doesnt include an importer, the only way I could figure to get a hl2 model was through milkshape.
I decompiled the model with cannonfodder's mdldecompiler, this worked. I imported the reference smd into milkshape. Only thing that didn't work is the vertex/bone weights. I then exported to .3ds and imported to 3dsmax. I got the mesh in there, the geometry was tipped back 90 degreees and way off scale, the damn bone structure wasnt in there either.
I'd like to just take a couple hl2 models and add animations with 3ds max. lil help? thanx a ton
