Is there a game for the SNES that has a combat system like Zelda?

I'm tired of these stupid Turn Based Battles, I want Real-Time Battles, Like In The Zelda Games!

It's For An SNES Emulator on my PSP.

Secret of Mana? Seiken Densetsu 3? All of those are real-time RPGs.

Well, Zelda isn't reeally an RPG. I like to think of it as an action/adventure game with RPG elements. Oh f*ck it, let's just be frank and call it "pure awesomeness".

Secret of Mana - similar fighting system to Zelda, but better. Infact it'sbetter in every way (and I love Zelda)

I think Secret of Mana has aged far worse than Zelda:LttP.

I played through the whole game (in two-player!) last year. It was entertaining, but a noticeable step down the quality ladder from Zelda.
I would say the game was inferior to Zelda in almost all aspects - even the fighting system, IMO, often felt very hit and miss

Horses for courses.

I haven't played SoM for a few years now, but certainly enjoyed it a whole lot more at release.

The visuals, music, style and combat still are better imo. Zelda was always more of a adventure/puzzle.

True, both games aim to achieve completely different things. Where LttP was an adventure-puzzle, SoM was adventure-combat. SoM had no real puzzles to speak of... almost all the dungeons were linear cut-n-paste corridors, filled with enemies to pulp. The overworld was a vast sprawl, again full of enemies to smack about.

Perhaps because the stats-based "hack n slash" genre has been refined signifcantly since SoM, its battle and magic systems feel very rudimentary to me now.

Whereas Zelda's dungeon and puzzle designs are as brain-twistingly ingenious now as they've ever been.

Hell, they're both great games anyway, play em both! :D

I'm not talking about gameplay, just the combat system, I'm tired of the stupid pokemon (For gameboy) type games, Where you walk around a cave hoping to not get attacked, then you go into this stupid annoying little turn-based battle sequence, I hate that, sooooooooooooooo annoying..

So in conclusion,

Secret of Mana (SeikenDenSetsu 2) classic
SeikenDensetsu 3 (Secret of Mana 2) difficult
Illusion of Gaia (Illusion of Time) over in 8 hours or less
Terranigma - lacks depth
Final Fantasy Adventure 2 - idk

I got Illusion of Time (Gaia), And The Story Is kinda cheesy...

Yeah, my mate was telling me about that game a while back. He said it's awesome.
