Anyone that calls themselves a Half-Life fan can appreciate this bit from Geoff Keighly and Gaming Heads.

As some of you know, Geoff's connection with Gabe Newell and Valve began in 1997 when he was a sophomore in college; when he was given the opportunity to document the "final hours" of Half-Life's development (he's also written the Final Hours of Half-Life 2 and the Final Hours of Portal 2 over the years).

Anyways, earlier today while digging through his old stash of CD-ROMs, Geoff found this gem - a CD of a December 1997 build of Half-Life that was given to him - and he shared a picture of it on Twitter.

That should probably be put inside of an airtight display case, or something.

And in other news, Gaming Heads again delivered the goods and has revealed their statue of Gordon Freeman. It's not out yet and there's no specifications or price, but they released a teaser trailer on Christmas.

"This is the Free Man... The Combines reckoning has come."

Pre-orders are opening soon. Like I said, no price yet. Generally, Gaming Heads' merchandise can be a little expensive ($300 USD), but you're paying for high quality stuff - check out their other Half-Life, Portal, Team Fortress 2, and L4D figurines.
