Hello everyone, new guy here. Didn't see a search function and didn't really know where to put this so forgive me if this has been either already asked or if this is in the wrong forum..
When spawning NPC's they seem to be dumb if you put them somewhere on open ground. For example, I spawn three combine soldiers with Submachine guns and some citizens some distance away. The citizens will start to fire but the soldiers won't because the citizens are too far away. the sad thing is the soldiers won't even move to get closer so they'll just stand there getting shot. This is with setsquad activated. But if you spawn them in places with(in) buildings and activate setsquad they suddenly start working (as they are supposed to) in teams and move to go for cover or get in firing range. What I was wondering, is there a command to get them to work together on open ground like they do in buidlings?
I am also interested if you are able to somehow alter the metrocops so they can patrol. (They don't have an ent_fire command for that like the soldiers do)
Any help is appreciated.
