edit: i wanted the novel not game guide >.<

lolsauce!
uh theres that raising the bar but thats like fanart.
also theres fanfiction.net, and they have a halflife section. its preety good stuff

There's Raising The Bar, which is a compilation of concept art and screens from Half-Life and Half-Life 2, plus a crap ton of information on how Valve developed their games etc.

You need that book.

There are no Half-Life novels. There's a book called Raising the Bar which gives info on the making of Half-Life 1 & 2 and what was cut and why. There are a few short stories written by Valve's writter, Marc Laidlaw. I think that Gabe Newell (The head of Valve) has said before that Marc Laidlaw would eagerly write some Half-Life novels, but they really have no stories that they want to tell through writing, which I find odd because they've said many times that they have more story written than they are actually able to fit into the games.

Buh? Do you mean the ones in RtB?

No official one, but I seriously recommend reading "The Black Mesa Incident" novelization on fanfiction.net, it covers the events of Half-Life, Blue Shift, and OpFor.
