Source SDK

so i bought the orange box a while ago (not of steam) and i wanted to get gmod10, so i clicked purchase but it says i need to own a source SDK base, i thought it could run if i had half life 2? or ep1,2 or portal

just download it from the tools tab.

i think you might need css for it.

when i go into tools it just say's

Dark messaiah might and magic dedicated server
dedicated server
source dedicated server
team fortress 2 dedicated server
the ship dedicated server

all of them - not installed.

Hmm... maybe you need CS:S? That doesn't seem right. These GMOD requisites are a pain in the ass.

its weird yeah, but i dont think i need cs:s

"This game requires that you own a Source engine game such as Counter-Strike: Source, Half-Life 2, or Day of Defeat: Source."

i got HL2

Load up HL2, quit, then restart Steam and see if Source SDK Base is there.

still doesn't work :\

its really annoying is well, when you search Garrys mod in steam it only comes with bundles and not on its own, so then i had to go in internet explorer to buy it from there but when you click on purchase, nothing happens. then i used firefox and went to the main page and clicked purchase and it worked but came up with the same message going on about the Source SDK
