At the end of the game when you have escaped from those things in dr brings office, judith lets you out. He takes the gravity gun and runs out you and alyx follow. when you come up on him hes talking to someone/something anyone know what/ who he was talking to???

At the very end when you blowup the citedels core, and the gman comes and gets you. Alyx is right there when the core explodes is it likely she dies and we wont see her again? I dont possible see how she could have escaped being so close to the explosion with no time to run. And how big is the explosion it could have taken dr vance, and judith aswell.

Also has anyone got any leads as to whom is paying the gman for gordons services. Are their higher powers at work or what? Because I thought most of the goverments on earth were out of commision during this game.

I know really all you can awnser these questions with is speculation, still I would be intrested to hear any info you have to offer.

First question: we don't know exactly, could be the brains of the combine. More likly another spieces becasue he's in deep poo with them though.

Second question: not known, but remember how Dr. Breen rambled on how Freeman would be "killed" in ways that are not even possiable. Could be that its not dead but transportation to places that are worst than the other side of a combine portal.

Third qestion: uknown once again. But who says the gman is even human. The combine looks like cyborg bipdal hybrids. And the Gman can manipulate time and space. Thats not exactly ahuman trait. Also theseven day war thing after black mesa leads me to believe that the gman and his race or orginization(terran or other) could have put up a little more resistance than that...or could they. They do use Gordon.

Last on a personal theory, I beilieve they have stumbled on to a interdimensional war. Seeing that some of the zen creatures ar in hl2 and some are not. Also some are on the humans side and some are "used" by the combine but none are consiously working for the combine. Another clue is how Dr. Breen rambles on to Eli while you are are being taking to Breens office about the many many different worlds and dimensions and assumed multipule speices in thoses "worlds". I think the human scientist have the potiental for knoledge that the combine need to win the war of total conquest. Thus the other factions that are bidding for Freemans mind and resiliance in combat and adaptive nature. This is all conjecture, but its as good as any at this point.

Anyway yea what you say does sound very plossible, something else to think/talk about until hl3. I hope this game doesnt go on to long (HL20). I loved both games, but Im one of those people that needs closure on just about everything Im involved in. Especially a game that gets you in the story so much.

Your theory is a very good one ,and was very similar to mine except then I threw in the question: How does all the characters in HL2 know freeman as he was in HL1?

So, this leads me to think that Gordon is still the scientist as he was in HL1 except he has caught the attention of the unknown organisation represented by gman.

I believe the multiple spieces they were refering to were creatures like the world of Xen, and there isn't a multiple reality thing going on. Either way it will be intresting how valve decides to take HL3.
