Administation would like to inform you that there has been a huge virus outbreak on the Steam network, it is due to this that we have disabled your account and put it into quarantine, please type your account details, in the form
STEAM :
Password :
, so that we may clean your account of any bugs or viruses.

yeah didn't fall for that OR the previous attempt since I've joind HL2 TF2 club

don't anyone else fall for this

and yes it says Administation

I got the same thing.
I filled it out STEAM :nicetry
Password :asshat

I emailed Valve with the information as soon as I got the same message. The Administration account has since been disabled.

That guy is of epic failure. Of course, Valve is going to attempt to contact us VIA friends to inform us that a virus, which has no way of moving through..accounts...is he an IDIOT?, to tell us to give them the id/pass which they should have on their servers.

Scammers really need to learn something new to challenge us 'not-so-retarded' folk.

Well, for us retarded folk, they seem to be doing well. :bonce:

It's been a while since something like this actually happened..

Unfortunately I could see something like this working on people who don't have much experience with the internet or computers, and therefore wouldn't know that an administrator has better ways of solving problems than emailing/messaging users for their username and pass. Most likely these are the kind of people that scammers are targeting.

GJ Valve for dealing with them so quickly.

I'am surprised Valve even allowed them to call their account Administation.

If anyone noticed his account had only been active for a day. I doubt disabling his account will seriously do much. I vote for vigilante justice!
