Striders

Hey, in the E3 video, has any noticed that, with the exception of the 2 normal striders you are fighting, there is one that is half the size, and a little faster. Any speculation on this? Maybe Striders are mostly organic with offstring or just made different sizes?

They've had a year to tweak it. I expect they just decided to change them.

nah really i think 'The Thing' is right, its crouching as it walks past, like when it climbs under the arch in the earlier vid.

He's definatley crouching 'cause he gets back up before Gordon looks away.

They do seem faster when crouched, due to the longer leg span. (Did what I just say make any sense?)

Sure look biomechanoid to me... The hip joints even have musculature...

If there are smaller striders, I don't think it's their offspring. They might as well be manufactured.

No, that is not a "smaller strider". He's wrong.

However there might be smaller striders in game, but the strider you see is the strider that you ran past a in the beginning of that strider fight, the other one (Which looks larger by now) is another strider that just came in and took the place of the other one.

I'm confused - aren't there about 5 other threads talking about so called mini striders? Or is this actually a diffferent thing?

It's just a strider that's crouching, and taking advantage of the more stable position to run. Seems pissed, too.
