Hello,

I played a while until crossing a field of dead cars where canons are firing at you. I succeeded into finding a path through the field to climb up a metal roof and jumped into the room where i killed 6 soldiers. As i can guess i shall desactivate the canon before keeping on playing but i can't!
I find a kind of cupboard which i guess is the canon controler, i can click on it to open it but can't do that much ...
Anyone know what to do here?

Regards
(sorry for poor english)

I see strong similarities between playtesters and OP.

I found it incredibly obvious. Not many things in the HL series ask you to blow them up, but they are invariably well-signposted.

This entire forum is stuck in canon, don't be alarmed.

I cottoned on to what to do relatively quickly after i noticed that a grenade would fit pretty nicely into that hole.

I try to blow everything up so it was kinda obvious for me.

When there is an ammo crate of grenades in the room, they want you to blow shit up.

Does the canon field tell of the canonicity of Race X? Inquiring minds wannt to know!

At first I lobbed a grenade at the autogun, but I quickly realise my mistake.

Yeath, I tried that as well.

The Infinite Grenade Box on the outside Truck has one Advantage tough. when I heard Combine Radio Beep, I Grenade-spammed the Hall trough the Windows until I killed all Soldiers. :P

I think that is why that crate is out there in the first place. Yummy Nade Spam.

Valve does not consider the canon field as canon in the story...

I loved this sequence. Snake your way through the makeshift trenches between two warring factions, all the while fighting a denizen of No Man's Land, the Zombie horde. This entire Episode had much more of a "large scale conflict" feel, less of an insurgency based in-city uprising.

That and you meet a new, unmentioned creature added in the game: The fast zombie torso. Unless I'm mistaken, I'm fairly certain they never did that in the original.

It was added in ep1.

But there wasnt any in the maps, you had to throw something explosive at a fastzombie.

Although they have a new crawl animation in ep2

I liked that bit, but it wore out my Ctrl key quite a bit ;). We do get to see a new Combine machine, so I suppose this is vaguely the equivalent of the suppression device at the Nexus.
