Stuck in water hazard

I left my freakin airboat behind and and deleted all my prior saves. I managed to avoid being killed by the helicopter, but now I am trying to get through these pipes of toxic waste and I am on foot. Am I gonna have to start the whole game over? I left the airboat behind because I came to a barrier I thought I couldn't get through.........

2: you will need the airboat, that was a puzzle you were supposed to do
3: why would you delete your savegames?

Either
1: Go back and get it
2: go to options, keyboard, advanced and click on the console button. To activate the console press the button below Esc(probably either ~ or ¬`¦)
type "map d1_canals 07" into the console(without quotation marks) and press enter.

I am playing on XBox and I deleted my saved games because I was trying to free up space......I know, I learned my lesson.

Ach, it's not so bad. Half Life 2 isn't a bad game to play through again. You might notice a few things you missed last time.

AFAIK, chapter progress is stored seperately from Save Games.

(Hint) Next time you get to the puzzle, use the b- (Sniper shot hits me in brain)

As ríomhaire said, you could turn around and try to make your way back through the level to where you left the air boat, though often in HL2 there are parts you can pass but not turn around and go back through, so you may need to start the chapter again.

Don't forget to stop at the 'hidden cave' on your way through Water Hazard. There's a surprise in there...

Edit: Well, it's not hidden as such. Just out of the way.
