Stuck...plz. help

Hey guys can anyone help me? I'm kinda stuck...when the girl introduces you to the robot dog, the dog is just bouncing in front of her...I've thrown stuff around with the gravity gun for it to fetch but it just keeps on moving in front of her face and does nothing...what do I do? plz. help...thanx

Have you tried reloading the level? Maybe the script got stuck and a simple restart will fix it.
