I'm looking for a subtitute band to AudioSlave. I really like their stuff. Really great. The riffs are really fun and the lyrics are not bad.
Rage has some good songs but I can't really stand the singer, I don't understand a thing he is shouting and the lyrics are to political for my taste.

Any ideas guys ?

Soundgarden. Temple of the Dog. Chris Cornell.

^^^^
All have the same singer, Chris Cornell. Not really the same riffs, though. Alice and Chains can sound fairly similar to Audioslave at times, so can Stone Temple Pilots.

Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Alice in Chains.

Try these Soundgarden songs or look them up on Youtube:

Somewhere, Outshined, Pretty Noose, Fell on Black Days, Burden In My Hand.

Audioslave, made up of Rage Against the Machine with Chris up front. The good stuff is by RATM if you are looking for it.

I never really appreciated Temple of the Dog. Always thought their sound was pretty bland to be honest. As to your question, Chris Cornell performed in quite a few famous grunge bands, so you might want to wiki him. Also, you might want to check out his two solo albums, especially his second one, good stuff on that one.

Bland? I haven't heard another band like them. Apart from when Gossard reused his riff on the Pearl Jam song Footsteps.

The singer from Rage bugs the shit out of me too.

It's really a case of a band that is nearly perfect in every way, but I just can't stand it, and it pisses me off that I don't like it, because it's a waste of a great band.

I still really dig moments of their stuff though.

I was thinking Bush if you like Audioslave, but it's been a while since I listened to either because I can't really listen to popular music anymore. I feel like I'm wasting time when I could be listening to something I've rarely heard that is better.
