Suit Zoom vs Sprint.

Which one of these added HL2 suit features do you think was the better addition? I tend to use each of them habitually. Zoom is great because it gives some of the moments in game a cinematic quality, and obviously it's good for scouting and aligning some of the more distant shots. The sprint is great for holding down during firefights to avoid enemy fire and more notably for dodging antlion guards. It also just makes the more mundane point A to point B traveling take less time.

I use both features very often. While I can play the game through quite comfortably without needing the zoom feature, I couldn't say that about the sprint feature. Plus walking slow sucks.

I liked being able to run all the time in HL (not have to hold down a button), so for HL2, I think zoom wins.

I use suit zoom occasionally and it can be quite good. But I'd have to say that the sprint is much more useful.

I use them both regularly, but sprinting adds an extra tension to a pitched fight, because you have the option to run for cover and actually make it.

I dont bother to use the zoom function. The only time I use it is when Im using the Crossbow (Dont think thats what you meant here). As for sprinting... lets just say its one of the things that keep me sane

My favorite added feature to the suit is that the flashlight uses a seperate battery pack (ep2).

But as for the poll, I voted sprint.
Even though I prefer the zoom, you can't shoot while zoomed in, so only sprint adds something to the gameplay.

I seldom use the zoom feature, mostly rely on the crossbow's scope to scout ahead, but even so I prefer to greet the enemies with a wonderful shotgun kiss

And also panoramic views.

Sprint sucked in ep2, it doesn't activate anymore when you are in mid-air (from jumping)

You zoom in to aim. Then release zoom and shoot. I use sprint far more than zoom.

sprint sucks! even i can sprint for longer than four seconds.
Zoom, however, has the effect that if you fife a single shot just after zooming, it is suber accurate. handy for getting 1 hit kill headshots on those chicken-shit metrocops.

Zoom is somewhat useful, but it's mostly a gimmick. To see for yourself just how important sprint is in close quarters engagements, try fighting an Antlion Guard without a hazard suit. Dodging any kind of attack becomes very difficult without sprint.

I hardly ever bothered with suit zoom where as I was always sprinting around everywhere.

I hardly ever used zoom... I think I may have forgotten it even existed after a while.
I did find that it was possible to shoot the gun on the buggy while using zoom, so I used it for that.

I always sprint. I use a sprint, jump, sprint combination for added effectiveness.
