textures on a brush

i have image here of the texture on the door. now i can only texture the door brush as a whole, not as each face of the brush. can anyone tell me how to do this? ok im a noob so no complicated words etc.

(btw this is on the door tutorial so the 4th tut i have ever done)

The sixth button from the top or bottom on Hammer's largest toolbar is the Texture Application Tool. With it open, click a face to select it, and use the other mouse button to apply a texture to a face.

hold down CTRL when you click to select multiple faces
