alright i posted this thread to let you modders know how this mod could be done..here i will answer some questions that i thought about last night....
for those of you that dont know....this mod/map idea is basicly a defense from antlions. all the players are on a team and defend the house/base from antlions.
someone stated in the other thread (a great mod idea) ,about how the lag would be so bad becuase of the server having to spawn all the antlions...
one way you could spawn the antlions, ive expeiremented in spawning them on templev1 map last night, the admin enters sv_cheats 1 in the console, and then binds a key to npc_create npc_antlion. he disables the AI, all the players are set up inside a base. he creates all the antlions, and then once everyone is ready he enables the ai agian.
when i expeiremented with this last night, the ant lions would not attack anything, they just ran around like retards. so someone would have to program the antlions to attack.
