Some people ask what kind of world would it be if evil people like Hitler were not punished eternally, and instead only suffered the same eternal fate as the kindest, most good hearted person. And they ask why that would be fair.

And so I would ask them, which is worse, a world where evil people receive the same lack of eternal punishment as good people, or one where a god punishes truly good-natured people to eternal strife and suffering simply for the fact that they did not believe or could not(lack of knowledge) believe in something.

Another argument is that life has no meaning without an after-life, and that just boggles my mind. If I know I'm going to live forever in heaven or hell after I die, that certainly seems to mean that my life has less meaning than if this time on Earth is all I've got.

A different way you could like at it is perhaps the notion that one living forever in heaven (let's just assume the word 'afterlife') makes living on earth that much more important. Life on earth would be a blink compared to eternity elsewhere, so do everything you can; don't hold back. Live a great life.

I don't understand that at all. I live on earth for a blink, but when I live in eternal bliss in heavenwhy the hell does it matter how fun my life was?
