The Barnacle, it's back...

Yep, the anoying ceiling hanging enemies are back for a second round in HL2.

After looking at a screen from Gamers Depot and editing the brightness/contrast, I found there to be a barnacle it the screenshot. Sorry if the pic is too bright for some people, my monitor is crap and makes everything really dark.

Anyway, I think it looks kinda cool, although a little too big. Maybe there are different sized barnacles, like with the headcrabs...

He is right about something though, the barnacle is back.

I heard it was going to have lots of moving parts on it, maybe parts of it throb or something, and it looked really disgusting. I think it was probably in one of the early previews, maybe in one of the videos that where only shown magazines and internet sites

Like others said, the barnacle is back in Half-Life 2 but this picture doesn't really have anything to do with it.

Okay, your right, it is an Ant Lion jumping at him, my mistake. If you look at it, it does kinda look like a Barnacle. After all, it will apparentley make a return.

And if anyone thinks I'm a newb, I'm far from being one. I've had Half-Life, and have been a massive fan since it was first released. It's still my number one game of all time. I've been following HL2 since the leaked magazine scans were released, and I also still have the scans and almost every HL2 movie that's been released.

Oh, and I don't usualy post on these forums because of all the crap that is usualy posted on it, such as: "OMG! HL2 is delayed!!!!! Valve sux!!!!!" etc...

What? It is valid. There are different sizes of headcrabs, so I dont see why they wouldnt be bigger to be able to eat bigger things.

It's obvious that it's not a barnacle or a headcrab. Maybe if he watched the e3 video OR the HL2 media that was downloadable during the Steam Beta, then it would be obvious that it wouldn't be either aforementioned enemies.

As you can see, it's a screenshot taken from the bugbait video. The antlion is jumping over the combine soldier. Another antlion can be seen on the right hand side.

And FAK3R, just because I follow HL2 it doesn't mean I'm a nerd. Infact, it just means I'm a fan, it's not like I spend all my hours looking at HL2 stuff (and no offence to people that do.)
