The best coolest thing that evah happened

Whats teh coolest thing that ever hapened to you when you played Half-Life 2... For me it was when a hopper hopped and i shot it with sthe gravity gun in mid air and it killed 2 metro cops where it landed...
P.S. Colour is not allowed anymore right?
 
Jumped onto the gunship (bridge section) as it exploded. 'Twas a good ride while it lasted :P
 
Samon won't let us use colour.
A zombie hit a med kit at me, saving me from other zombies. I let it live. Also had some wierd experiences bringing Dog's ball with me.

Ontopic: In the middle of a fight, while dodging bullets, I jumped into one of the rebels, who cheerfully says: "Pardon, doc"

You do not say "Pardon, doc" in the middle of a firefight.
 
Coolest was when I ramped off and did a backflip because I had headcrabs.

I think the best moment was when the Gunship crashed into the first massive roadblock, sending cars flying everywhere. The gunship remained intact too :)

So John Freeman blew up the house with the zombie goasts so that they could rest in piece.

But seriously, the first time I realised how utterly cool the physics were. I was going back under the bridge with my trusty crossbow when a guard came out of a door in front of me. As I saw him pull out a grenade, I relied on my instincts and aimed to kill him. However he threw the grenade just as I let off the shot. It hit the grenade in mid air sending the grenade into the room behind him. I heard alot of muddled radio chatter after the explosion and it had actually killed 3 people. The Combine guy and two of his friends.
 
My favorite "coolest scene eva" had to be in the level before Route Kanal where there was the one bridge supported by dozens of pieces of wood, and a couple explosive barrels. I waited until three Metro-Cops were there until I shot out the barrels, blowing up almost all of the bridge. Two of the cops landed right on the ground, but the third got his foot caught between two planks of wood, and swung above me in the air.
 
Going through Route Kanal without killing anyone.
 
Shotgun Grenade volleys are usually my coolest HL2 moments. One combine threw one down at me from the roof-tops, I shot it and punted it straight back at him where it practically exploded in his face.

Cool, but still doesn't top the coolest kill I ever got in UT2004. I ejected from the Raptor (Flying Vehicle) in mid-air, had a gunfight with this one guy and all of a sudden, the raptor clangs down on his head and squishes him to death :D

My coolest moment was getting into the Dogs dumpster as he lifts it up to throw it and having the vision invert. I of course got crushed for some reason soon after but it was really cool to be upside down in a game like Half-Life.

My coolest moment was at that platform thing, just a bit after the crane bit in highway 17 and just before you crash the car through the window. I stopped, got out and was having an epic battle with the combine there (these may or may not have been spawned npcs...I don't remember). So the last one there is standing a short distance away from me, with a telephone (or whatever) pole behind him. I fire the grenade launcher on my mp7 and hit him. He does a backflip and nails the pole, right between the legs. I was in so much awe, that I forgot to to a screen. That must have hurt eh? :laugh: (yes, I know it's not nice to laugh at others misfortune.)
 
In Water hazard, I destroyed the helicopper and it fell right onto me. I got killed.

The funniest thing that has ever happened to me in HL2 was when I threw a book at Alyx with the gravity gun. She just melted into the floor.

He just linked to hlcomic.com, whats wrong with that? Its a good comic and spreading it around to heighten peoples interest in Chris' comic can only be good for him...
 
probably the best thing ever was tweaking the gunships to have really long firing bursts, and do 30 damage per shot.

Then i tried to make it all the way across the underside of the bridge without killing the gunship and without dying. I actually ended up making it. It was so sweet.
 
In the airboat when you had to fight the helicopter that was dropping mines/shooting at you. When it shot it down, the front of it landed on top of me, and I died. When I respawned it was about a half second before it landed on me again, needless to say I had to restart the chapter.
 
I remebered that I read some walkthroughs and they said that Father Grigori is invulnerable. So I left him to deal with the zombies alone, you know what's next.
 
I had a seagull land on the buggy. He stayed on for a little while as I drove around the beach before he flew away. I still haven't been able to get him to land on the buggy again.
 
A few soldiers near explosive barrels. Shoot explosive barrels. Said explosive barrels blows up, kills soldiers and sends remaining explosive barrel flying towards me on fire.
Blows up and I die:smoking:
 
OFFTOPIC: i love your new avatar riomhaire.

ONTOPIC: i loved whenever i saw some new thing happen i havent seen in any other games.
 
My coolest moment ever was in the crane, when i picked up a container and totally vaporized everything in front of the warehouse with one swing
