Ok, I am in the "Entanglement" episode.
After the combine soldiers knock down the fallen turrets, what is the correct way to set them up again?
So far, I have been struggling to try and to set them up with the grabber or holding it and knocking it into walls and railings so it stands up straight and in the process losing health points to combine fire.
How did you all go about setting up turrets? Is there an easier way I can just set them up straight or am I doing it the usual way? :sniper:

Just pick it up with the gravgun, hold it for a second and it will automatically get the up again. Very simple, just use the gravgun.

I just did that chapter today, and I didnt use the gravity gun. Because when soldiers came, what do you shoot them with? Although you press 'G' (default) to swap from it, Its easier to shoot straight away.

You guys use the gravity gun? That's crazy, just pick them up with "E", and they"ll return to their original position in your hand, so you'll just have to drop them again with another "E" tap.

Using the gravity gun is crazy? LOL

Using the grav gun is crazy for those turrets. It's much harder to set them up that way, but using 'E' to pick knocked over turrets back up is easy.

Another useful trick is using the gravgun to put filing cabinets, boxes, barrels, whatever, in the doorways the Combine come through. The turrets are then basically impossible to knock over. :D

wth is so hard about picking up a turret with the grav gun???

just pick them up with the use button and if a combine comes, drop it and fire at them... or use the gravgun and if a combine come hold the turret up in front of you and let it shoot at him, that's actually really fun, i took one of the turrets with me all the way through out nova prospect up to the teleporter, which i actually tried to take it into the portal with me but it don't work. its a lot of fun carrying around the turret and just holing it when a small squad of combine come at you and just watching it mow them down... its pretty cool.

Gravgun doesn't auto-correct turrets properly, for some reason.

it auto corrects for me.....so i dont see whats wrong with yours.

I usually just panic and start shooting the turrets at the Combine. Always aim for the head!

Yeah, the things take up so much facespace. Who holds the damn turret up right in front of their face? Why no hold it at, I dunno, chest level?

I'm not actually sure that's what happens, i'm just blindly assuming, since I havn't touched HL2 because I'm mucking around with Black and White.
