I think his model name etc, was named GMan becuz in the Stephen King Novel "The Dark Half", there are 2 guys called G-Men(Goverment Men) so they decided to use G-Man for Goverement Man!

Hmm... Maybe we'll learn the G-Man's real name in HL2. In a way, that'd be cool... But it would also kinda ruin the mystery of it. "The G-Man" is interesting, mysterious... "Frank" would not be. Maybe he really is an alien, and his real name is some horrible chorus of screams and moans compressed into a couple seconds.
