Since I'm new here I don't know everybodys take on The Office, but I'm a huge fan. I was gone from home last week and didn't get to see last weeks episode until last night. One of the best ever I'd have to say. Dwight: "Before I do something I ask myself, 'is that something a stupid person would do', and if the answer is 'yes' then I don't do it." Jims whole vamipire thing. Micheal nailing the student with a chocolate bar. Classic. Great stuff.

Do you have any way of sharpening a broom handle?

I've seen the original and the US one, and they're both good. Obviously the original was far superior, but the US one has its' merits too. You'd have to be a pompous ass to say it isn't a bit funny.

Yeah I found that the American one missed the point of what made the original so good, but it has its funny moments, just a different type of comedy.

I'm a huge Ricky Gervais fan generally, The Office is my favourite show still after all this time. The original British show is better I believe, but the American version does hold it's own too, especially the basketball episode

In the British version you actually get the feeling that it could be a real documentary from an office. I cought an episode of the US version, and while it was funny, I didn't think it held the same class or had the same feeling as the British.

I've seen 15ish episodes of the English one as well. Of course I'd already seen a full season of the US one so it was fun for me to "match up" characters. I think the English one is also hilarous (usually whoever starts it nails it best), I just wish I could understand everything they say. How long was the English one on before they brought it to the US anyway? If memory serves Ricky was very involved in the first few Amercian episodes. I believe he said somewhere in an interview that when they bring the show to a new country that they make the same 5 first episodes and then let the characters take to their own after that.

I love the American version. I haven't taken the time to sit and watch a new British versions.

The US version is quite hi-larious. And I love the set. (don't ask me why but whenever I see a show that has a sort of "real" set I usually love it)
Haven't seen much of the british version but I'm sure it's just as good or better than the US version, but it's too late to change over now.

Never really found it that funny. Nor Extras. Strangely I like all of RG's stand up.

Love the UK one, the US is pretty funny though. Not a patch on the original, though.

Rainn is going to be hosting SNL tomorrow night. I'm curious to see how he does. I haven't seen too much of him outside the show.

Its my favorite show on TV. The whole Jim vampire thing was hilarious. I was hoping in last weeks episode that the dish Michael brought would have caused his girlfriend to be sick and throw up on him while they were in the car as an nod to "The 40 Year Old Virgin".

Michael's story was great as well.

I've always been confused as to how people think this version is of a much lower quality then UK version, i think it's much better.
