So, it seems every game.magazine on the planet is doing a hl2 review, but we kind of got it covered now - I dont need 20 more reworded version of the same experience, no what we need is THE hardware.review.
So Valve - go into that testing room and kick all those reviewers out, got it? ...good! :cheese:
Now disassemble all those pc's and throw the hardware in a big pile in the corner, then go call [H]ardocp or anandtech.com or one ot the other reputable hardware.sites, get them to throw every video.card, cpu, mb, ram and sound.card they posses into a big sack, and bring it to your office along with a bunch of skilled testers.
Give them 48 hours and all the answers they need, then have them release this: :bounce:
"The hardware review to end all "how will my rig handle it" questions!"
We need min, max and avarage fsb for all the gpus ranging from the Geforce4 ti/radeon 8500 to xtpe/6800u, with and without AA/AF.
We need overview of whql/beta/hot-fix driver performances.
We need seperate tests for Intel P4/ Amd athlon XP/ Amd athlon64.
We need the FULL story on 3dc for performance and/or eye.candy.
We need to know if there will be a sm3.0 patch, and what its expected impact will be.
We need a full explanation of the engines features, and how each are handled on the different gpu-architectures.
We need the full story on audio: quality, performance.impact and features supported.
Now thats the review im waiting for, thats the review that will bring something new, and usefull to the table.
And if thats to much to ask, they should at least release the current results of the VST.test...
