The Simpsons Movie In 2-D Trailer

The simpsons have become what they have always made fun off with ichy and stractchy, mindless violence passed off as humour.
 
I got a feeling that this film will make up for the quality of the Simpsons over the past few years.

It might be crap or it might be funny. The story is going to make a whole lot of difference....
 
I thought the trailer showed no info on the movie at all. Maybe that's what the producers wanted. I don't know, can't wait to watch the movie though. I grew up with the simpsons.

I have a feeling Homer is going to have save his family, hence his quote before operating that machine,

"I have to save my family"

Probably won't live up to the hype, but I'ma still watch it anyways.
 
Its more than a teaser in my opinion. They actually hint the plot to us by showing homer trying to save his family.

I think its gonna be great, cant wait!!
 
Maaan, if I were in charge of producing that trailer I would have made it 10x more funny than that!
It's the first trailer for THE. SIMPSONS. MOVIE.
It should be more than just a giggle, I should be in tears of laughter after a trailer for something like this. I'm disappointed already and I haven't even seen the movie!

I actually laughed quite a bit at the rock and A Hard Place.
 
I thought it was weak. I mean, no evident storyline present in there. Just the violence and pain as mentioned earlier...
 
meh that teaser made me laugh that all the latest simpson episodes
anyway I dont hav high hopes
 
Is it on Goodle Videos or Youtube yet? Coz Quicktime doesn't work for me.

No, it's real 3D. The only difference is the way the renderer puts it out. Looks like it's done in the style of the Simpsons, but it's definitely rendered out in full 3D.
 
off course they will use 3D so the people pay more attention tot he shiny effects and not the bad plot
 
I wish they actually did this film back when the Simpsons was actually funny/relevant. The Camp Krusty movie would've been great.
 
They're using Futurama's style of "2D" animation... which is almost 3D.
 
Yeah, but Futurama mixes both 3D and 2D animation, sometimes at the same time (they use Maya for the 3D content). It's what they did with Invader Zim too, but they used Lightwave I believe in their 3d segments.
 
They should have cut that part with Homer, ended it with Moe, and used that as the teaser trailer. Either that or pick a better clip to put on the end.

I thought the first half of the trailer with the overly-cute CG world followed by that bunny's aparent death via the title drop was more funny than Homer getting himself crushed repeatedly between various objects.

The first half was a funny social commentary on the state of current movie animation, while the second half was nothing more than slapstick.

I give this teaser trailer ** out of a possible *****.
