The Striders keep coming!!

I am on the last bit of Ep1, and I'm fighting Strider after Strider after Strider, they just keep coming! I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here, but according to a walkthrough, I should only have to face the one Strider.

What am I doing wrong, here? Oh, BTW, I had to put God mode on as I was fed up of dying.

Yeah, seriously. But it is a glitch, you should only be fighting one. That's really strange. :|

I solved the problem in the end. I simply had to meet up with Alyx who then says "We have to deal with that Strider first", then at which point once it's taken down the game will end with the train ride.

Rofl, lack of obvious scripting, had that problem, took out the first strider with a combination of luck, rockets, grenades, grav-gun launched grenades, and hopper mines... second one appeared and crushed me against a war.

No, that's supposed to happen. Now, if you destroyed the strider on that last ledge (with the infinite rocket box) and another one appeared, that'd be a bug.

weird, I just had to take out one. Whoever else had this problem, did you have cheats on?

I never take cheats off when playing games. I hate losing, and my temper is fragile beyond belief. I've smashed quite a few keyboards this year alone. Plus I'm an ageing fart (34) and my reflexes aren't so good.

I know it's supposed to happen, but I think if you're skillful enough (or well equipped enough) to take out the Strider before you reach the rocket crate, you should be rewarded.

I have the solution because it happens to me. But before I can I need to know where your firing from at the Strider. If your not at a certain point in the map and the Strider gets destroyed anothe rone will follow and so forth.

Essentially you need to get towards Alyx and then destroy it. Other than that, they'll keep coming.
