lol, Bruce Jenner aged horribly ..and Peter Criss from Kiss looks awful, put the makeup back on ..many of them didnt look like lesbians but some (like bruce jenner) did ..as did Kim Jong-il

ya I've always suspected he gave himself the nickname "Long Dong" just to make the public think he wasnt a lesbian

In the late 1980s, an urban legend circulated that Criss was a homeless alcoholic ..

Roseanne Barr and Tom Arnold began a campaign to try to rescue Criss. Barr and Arnold had discovered a homeless man living under a bridge who had claimed to be Criss, but it was later revealed to be a hoax. The hoaxer, Christopher Dickinson, appeared with the real Criss on The Phil Donahue Show in 1991. On the same show, there was a woman who claimed to also have had an affair with Criss back in 1982, which was vehemently denied by Criss (and his ex wife who called in to the show). For years afterward, the belief still persisted that Peter was broke and sleeping on the streets. Criss later sued the Star[1] and they settled out of court for an undisclosed sum.

They just had a tour in 2007. They're going to tour this year as well. Pretty sure Lordi's opening for them, that's what I've heard.

Geezers or not, their music's timeless. Rock doesn't age, rock doesn't get old. Their music's still as good now as it was then, and they've got a huge catalogue.
 
sure it does ..I'm a huge fan of the Stones but even I recognise their peak ended about 1979

which incidentily is when areosmith should have retired
 
Naw, I was just watching their Kissmas concert two (three?) weeks ago, and all their stuff still sounds great. Black Diamond, Psycho Circus, Lick It Up, Crazy Crazy Nights...all their music's still really good. I mean, as a testament to that Kissology 3 just came out and that thing was flying off the shelves.
 
popularity isnt the hallmark of a great musician ..the Stones sell a ton of albums despite not having produced anything extraordinary in almost 30 years

anyways, dont want to debate the merits of Kiss, suffice it to say I like a few songs ...lick it up isnt one of them ..that era needs to be forgotten

Very true, but one would hope that popularity is some indicator that the music is good and people weren't just buying crap. I mean that's obviously not true, that's "perfect world," but in this case I think it applies.

I like the song Lick It Up, but that video...ah, that video's hilarious. Vinnie Vincent and his pink guitar.

I remember me and some of my friends were walking out at night one time at like 2 am, walking down the street to this all-night diner, and one of my friends had Lick It Up playing on his portable speakers. And we get to the chorus, and we all stop and start doing the choreography from the video, with all these cars driving past and people honking and getting into it.
 
now that must have been a sight to behold ..which member did you pretend to be? the one with the spnadex or the one with the leopard skin ...spandex :naughty:
 
I've gotta be honest, all my friends (most of whom are also in the Kiss Army) edged me out for which member we're supposed to be when we go to concerts or whatever reason we have for putting on the makeup.

So I got Vinnie Vincent. :laugh:

That's the one with the spandex and the ratty, moth-eaten Japanese flag shirt.
