You can if the cd-key isn't registered to an account. I actually have a spare HL2/CSS cd-key because I had returned my HL2 retail to the store because I thought the CDs were screwed (turns out they weren't), and they gave me another copy of the game... thus another cd-key.

And no, you can't have it!

Somebody is going to come and buy a game you have stolen the key from and when they go to register they key they are going to get errors, and for what? So some asswipe can **** somebody elses game experience.

CD key generators, yeh ok still ****ing low, but atleast your not going to **** over the persons key you stole.

Heres a big **** you from all the people who have had to deal with you, you piece of shit.

It's not just some big nameless company your stealing from(even tho valve aint some big nameless company) your ****ing over the next person who picks up the box you have stolen from and has to deal with the cd key issues with valve, and belive me it's not an easy process and is very frustrating.
