Here it is, trk_garage. An indoor racing map, with both airboats and buggies raceable. Click the screenshots below to enlarge:

I was about half way through making it before I was informed of the racing mod already released, 'SourceRacer'. Obviously I didnt stop producing the map, and now it's finally finished. I made the first few bends and exported them into a map to see if multiplayer racing was possible, and I've since turned it into a complete track.

The panel next to the start point allows the player to choose which vehicle(s) to spawn. As you can see in the screenshot, row 1 will spawn a vehicle on the side of the track closest to the player, and row 2 on the other side of the track. The left button will spawn a Buggy, the right will spawn an Airboat. If there's already a vehicle in one of the vehicle spawn points, the corresponding button will be deactivated until a space is cleared.

I've added a feature for clearing all of the vehicles off the map, but I dont know if saying how is a good idea. While it'll be useful to clear the track, you could get idiots constantly removing the vehicles as a joke. Do you think I should post how?

The track is available for download here:

www.infernolabs.co.uk/files/trk_garage/trk_garage.rar (1.95mb .RAR)

I'll make some more of these tracks, next up I think it'll either be a large outdoor buggy only racetrack, or a completely aquatic airboat race.

Until then I hope you enjoy this track!

Actually, this would be HL2DM's second airboat/buggy racetrack...
But anyway, this looks pretty cool. Good job!

Ok. I've just discovered that vehicles dont work on dedicated servers, unless they are 'patched'. A few files need to be added to the server, once, and these files do not get uploaded to the client joining the game.

I've already updated the .rar file to include these files, and updated the instructions.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll be hosting it quite a bit for a few days. My server should be easy to find, just organise the list of servers by map name, or set the map filter as 'trk', so that only servers hosting the map will be returned. Bear in mind I can only upload at about 15kb/s, so its not like I'll be having 32 player games. :)

It would be great to have a stopwatch in there to measure round times, if that's at all possible.

I'll load that map up in garry's mod and test drive my pimped buggy
