I've been thinking of two additions to HL2: DM that would be great for players.

*Teleportation*: This would be used when, and only when, a player has 100 SUIT or more; it doesn't matter how much health the player has. The player would then press a certain key(Maybe the V key) to activate the teleportation and would then be teleported to somewhere on the map(A random spawn point). This would occur very fast, within a second. The player would still have all of their weapons they had before the teleportation but would have 100 SUIT, or more, knocked off for the teleportation. This would be especially useful in situations where the player is surrounded by enemies and/or the player would just like to get out of that area. You do not know where you are being teleported, so you are taking a chance. You could teleport into a firefight and end up dying anyway.

*HE Grenades*: The grenades are timed after they are thrown-this should be changed a bit. The time limit should also come into effect while you hold a grenade so that you can determine when the grenade is to explode. It would be easier and a lot more useful than just depending on luck most of the time. Just don't hold the grenade in your hand for too long :P

So, what do you think of these improvements?

EDIT: SORRY. WRONG FORUM. MODERATOR, PLEASE MOVE TO HL2: DM FORUM.

Don't like the teleportation idea, don't think it would really work well gameplay wise.

I do agree with allowing grenades to be 'cooked' before throwing though.

If you have 100 shield what need do you have for quick escapes?

And I prefer cooking granades the gravity gun-way. It´s a nice trick and it gives a little advantage to those who know how to use it. Adding real cooking would eliminate the trick.

I'd still use the gravity gun to do it, if i needed to send the grenade further than i can throw.

To me it seems a little constricting not to give you the option do cook it manually.

Good point. But what if you had like 4 Health and 104 SUIT and barely any ammo. The teleportation would surely come in handy, wouldn't it?

we also need bombs that you can put onto walls and extract a invisible or visible laser, anyone who passes will be blown to pieces :D
