Umbra and the Xbox 360 (Possible Spoilers)

Hello.

So aye, recently playing through Oblivion to reach level 20, and subsequently the Clavicus Vile shrine. After offering the 500 gold and in turn slaying Umbra, I'm thinking I want to keep this nifty sword.

However, when I return to the shrine and decline to return the sword, I cannot progress at all. I can't travel anywhere, I can't talk to any NPC's and I can't attack anything, because all of the above result in my 360 freezing. No error messages, just freezing.

I have considered just not returning to the shrine, but it seems pretty pointless. Has anyone else encountered the same problem?

I took the sword and didn't bother to come back. What's the point anyway, if you're refusing to give it to him? ;]

Well, when you refuse to return it you get a message about Clavicus watching you. I suspect more to come of it, and want to progress in as many quests as possible.

Maybe he cursed your 360 because you didn't give him the sword?

No one else getting/had this then? It's not exactly a huge problem, because aye, you can just not go back to the shrine. But still, it's nippy.

I actually never went back and refused to return it. If I do that, the sword gets its proper weight point (41), if I keep the quest going the weight remains at 0 .
