Urgent help. Please!

Okay, heres my problem

Came home from school booted up my PC , clicked my computer and my harddrive is missing ( i have two, the one that is missing has music and steam on it)i have no idea whats happened, it was their yesterday. and now its gone? any help appreciated

Also check that it is recognized in your BIOs setting. This was you can differentiate between hardware and Windows problems.

If its missing in the BIOs, check your connections (as Ravioli suggested).

If its found in your BIOs, in Windows right click on MyComputer --> Manage --> Disk Manager. See if its displayed there.

Turn on your PC and tap the key that gets you into bios (usually DEL). If the hard drive shows up there then it's getting power and the data cable is connected properly.

If it does not show up turn your PC Off, flip the switch on the back of the power supply to OFF and wait 10 seconds. Unplug the power cable and the data cable inside your PC that is connected to the hard drive then plug them back in. Turn the switch back on and boot up your PC.
