Us versus X-box versus PS(3?)

When will online play be between the different consoles and PC players?

Valve control the main maps so they could run multi-platform games.

Couldn't they?

Anyone any ideas if this will ever happen?

And would you play? Or cheat?

That'd be easy as hell - just run around them, and with their inferior control scheme they'd get pwned.

I don't think it'll ever happen though, for that reason - we'd poon them.

Agreed once you get used to the control a mouse gives you never look back
Try lining up headshots online with a gamepad - might be a worthy challenge for the leets out there

The very best Halo players can play like PC FPS pros. I remember reading about this guy at a Halo tournament who always get the three headshot kill, no matter what the other players did. No one else was at his skill level thogh.

It'll never happen, not just coz they'd get whooped but because it would encourage people to buy the oppositions console "All my mates play on Xbox live but why bother buying an Xbox when I can still play against them with my PS3".

Doesn't really lend itself to Bill's ruthless market-share grabbing scheme.

I have perfect control of my mouse, and still love gamepads.... they give a better feel to the game IMO. I don't prefer gamepads for tournaments, or anything important though.
