Hi everyone,

I have been planning to set up a fundraiser at my school at the annual Food Fair on 10/22 in which we (computer club people) let others play Valve multiplayer games (probably HL2DM and CSS) for a fee. This fundraiser will go towards charitable purposes as well as to help the club fund some of its future activities.

However, my school wants to know if it is legal for us to charge others to play Valve games that we have bought. I'm fairly sure this does not fall under Valve's Cyber Cafe program as it is an entirely different concept (we're not doing this for profit, obviously), so any ideas? I e-mailed Valve on 9/30 at [email protected] regarding this, but they haven't replied yet, and the issue is starting to become urgent. Should I try e-mailing someone on the Valve staff (like Doug Lombardi), or does anyone know precisely what the legal situation is here?

Thanks for all the help.
