Check out what I found in Hammer Editor today.

This is ligitimate, it isnt custom content or anything I have made up, it just appeared in the list. It sits beside the BLU bomb cart on the lists and is pretty weird because it wasn't there before. I was thinking maybe Valve were considering implementing the community idea of RED attacking BLU while BLU attack RED into the official game. This is all I found for the moment, there might be more.

Just thought I'd share...DISCUSS!

Speculation? HELL YEAH.

Well, I thought maybe they could do a gametype where, before the payload bit begins, Red and Blu have to battle for the cart (most likely over a cp). Or a simpler option could be they have two carts racing against each other while you struggle to defend and push.

I would like to modify my original idea so you know I don't want them side by side. They should start as far as possible from each other and then meet in the middle and then finish distant from each other.

In my opinion.

Maybe it should have control points, or if they wanted to make it specifically about racing the other team, you should be able to set the game to no time limit. But if you wanted to make it feel more stressful, you could add less time.

It could just be there to allow red to push the cart in custom maps.

However, if the cartrace did happen, it would rock socks. Corp. Sheepo, if it was a race on opposite sides to the middle it would have nearly no point. There'd be nearly no combat until they both came into sight near the middle. Side by side with buildings in between and catwalks overhead is the best way to go with this, imo.

How about this...

The payload cart is placed in the middle of the map, and both teams have to race to it in order to take control of it. Whoever gets there first captures the cart and then has to push it to the enemy's side of the map. If that team loses control of the cart, the other team has to send it in the other direction.
