Video range problem

Hey there folks. I've been playin the garry's mod and I accidently set the screen resolution to something higher than monitor can handle. Instead of showing the console or even the game, my monitor just goes black and says "Video is out of range". Are there any fixes for this like a file I can open in notepad (or is it MotePad??? hehehe) and alter? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I know exactally what you're talking about. The only solution that i can think of is, if it happend recently, is to use system restore which will hopefully restore your settings back to the day when your settings worked. This usally works for me, but DONT SHUT DOWN THE COMPUTER WHEN IT IS RESTORING, LET IT RESTART ITSELF, OR ELSE YOU'LL HAVE TO REINSTALL WINDOWS

Or reinstall halflife...or just garrys mod
