Vista sound problem

Hi, I am running on windows vista 32-bit and I have just installed hl2 off steam not the disk. It installed just fine and it runs great with no glitches graphic wise but I get no sound and the same goes for hl2-death mach and counter strike. I was just wondering if any one ells is having this same problem and if there is a way to fix it, thanks.

Lmao. Sorry. I can't help it every time I see "Vista" and "problem" in the same sentence. Which is ALOT. "Get Vista, and say 'Hasta la VISTA' to smooth, problem free running".

Try updating your sound drivers. If any work with Vista yet...

I am still unable to get any kind of sound during game play with hl2 counter strike and hl2:dm so I?m just wondering if anybody ells is having the same problem

Uptake of Vista has been slow so I doubt you'll find anyone here with the same problem and/or solutions.

What Sound Card do you have cause i know for a fact that the creative vista drivers are crap and don't work well for games.
