Wait for the "9900"?

Not exactly it's real name, I don't know yet, but in a couple days I will be able to buy a Gigabyte Radeon 9800 Pro. I was wondering if I should stick it out until the new 9900 is out.

To be exact, I will have $385 to spend on any video card I want...I think I will either buy the official ATI card or either Sapphire, PowerColor, or Gigabyte...

if theres no rush wait for the 9900 to come out... then buy a 9800 because the price "may" drop...

sapphire seem to be the best... crucial have also started selling one...

Couldn't you just use Catalysts?

Probably. I have a Guillemot card right now, it HAS performed well under the circumstances (TNT2 M64).
